Hundreds Lose Power In Southern Norwalk

Hundreds are reporting power outages in Norwalk early on Thursday afternoon.

South Norwalk Electric and Water is working on repairing outages to approximately 400 customers in Norwalk, mostly on Connecticut Avenue, with an estimated time of restoration no later than approximately 1 p.m.

Additionally, as of 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, 633 of Eversource’s 1,270,384 customers were reporting that they were in the dark.

In Fairfield County, Brookfield (37 customers), Danbury (14), Wilton (two) and New Fairfield (one). It was not immediately clear what caused the outages.

Eversource and SNEW crews are in the process of restoring power in the area. Keep following Daily Voice for updates as they become available.
